Not Convinced, Yet

My box of Health Sole pads is empty. For now, my detoxification is over. I'm not going to post anymore pictures. The remaining pads were consistent with the four pictures posted last week.

I really can't say that I felt any different, and I'm still not totally convinced of the detox claims. I'd probably need to buy at least two more boxes for myself, which still leaves my wife who also wants to try them.

The pads did not react with my shoulder or stomach....only my feet. Could the discoloration be my sweat reacting with the herbs inside? Or, is it really the toxins leaving my body? Most of the companies offer to perform lab tests on the soiled pads so you can find out what kind of heavy metals and pesticides have accumulated in your body over the years. Obviously, there's a conflict of interest there, so I won't be mailing my pads in.

On the brighter side, I have heard from customers that the pads do in fact get lighter on the second box. Once I get more positive feedback, I'll consider forking over some more of my hard earned money. ................Matt

Oxybenzone

As if 1,4-dioxane isn't enough to worry about in your shampoo and conditioner, have you ever heard of oxybenzone? This carcinogen is found in most of the popular sunscreens you and your family use all summer long. Low levels of this chemical are hazardous to your health so avoid using products that contain them. The article by the Organic Consumers Association explains it in detail. Keep in mind that there are many natural sun blockers available. Make the switch to natural protection this summer. ....................Matt

Quotes of the Day

The medico-drug cartel was summed up by J.W Hodge, M.D., of Niagara Falls, N.Y., in these words: 'The medical monopoly or medical trust, euphemistically called the American Medical Association, is not merely the meanest monopoly ever organized, but the most arrogant, dangerous and despotic organization which ever managed a free people in this or any other age. Any and all methods of healing the sick by means of safe, simple and natural remedies are sure to be assailed and denounced by the arrogant leaders of the AMA doctors' trust as fakes, frauds and humbugs. Every practioner of the healing art who does not ally himself with the medical trust is denounced as a 'dangerous quack' and impostor by the predatory trust doctors. Every sanitarian who attempts to restore the sick to a state of health by natural means without resort to the knife or poisonous drugs, disease imparting serums, deadly toxins or vaccines, is at once pounced upon by these medical tyrants and fanatics, bitterly denounced, vilified and persecuted to the fullest extent.' ( I wish that doctor was in Peoria)

It's so nice to see that other people agree with me. I recently found some Mexican Coca Cola at a local grocery store. I checked the ingredients, and I was delighted to see that this famous soft drink made for our friends south of the border, is made with sugar and not high fructose corn syrup. I have not had a "normal" soda since '99, so I bought a bottle. It was delicious. So what's the problem? It must be the 39 grams of sugar per bottle. That's an unreal amount. It's been so long, I had know idea how much was in there. Here's another quote from some guy I can't give credit to because he didn't leave his name. I couldn't have said it any better. .......Matt

Change Gradually... If you try to change everything about your diet all at once, you won't stick with it. Go slow. Change one item at a time and get accustomed to the healthier alternative before tackling another.

Start with soft drinks (or soda). All soft drinks are simply ruinous to your health. Coke, 7-Up, Pepsi, Sprite, Dr Pepper, etc. It's ALL GARBAGE and it's RUINING YOUR HEALTH. Read the ingredients on the side of a can of soda. It will usually list 17-24 grams of sugar. That's the equivalent of 6-10 teaspoons of sugar with each and every 12 oz can that you're guzzling down. When you ingest refined sugar, you lower your body's immunity for FOUR HOURS. If you're drinking soft drinks here and there throughout the day, then you're keeping your immunity suppressed all day long. People with suppressed immunity seem to easily pick up every bug that's going around. Have you ever noticed that little connection in people (especially teenagers) who drink sodas all day long?

Another problem with soft drinks is the tremendous amount of PHOSPHOROUS that's contained in them. Large amounts of phosphorous are bad news for the body because they combine with other minerals (like Calcium) and tie them up for eventual excretion. Now calcium is a mineral that your body DOES NEED in large amounts in your bloodstream for daily use. If your soft drink is yanking the calcium out of your blood stream, where does the body get the calcium it needs for everyday jobs? Why, it gets it from your teeth and bones!

Women who are worried about osteoporosis would be way ahead of the game by avoiding soft drinks. Replace the soft drinks with WATER. It usually takes a couple of days to break a sugar addiction (oh, you never thought of YOU as being addicted to anything? Well, answer me this: Do you have a CRAVING for soft drinks when you don't have them? If you do, then you are definitely addicted). Satisfy your desire for sugar by eating sweet fruit (like banannas) during the adjustment period. Eventually you will come to love drinking water. (and it's only 35 cents per gallon)

Environmental Product Promotion

Support eco-friendly products and sustainable living with these items you may have overlooked.

Unfortunately, plastic bags are still legal in Peoria. The "ChicoBag" is a partial solution. It is a reusable shopping bag that fits in your purse. I wouldn't put a gallon of milk in it, but it can hold a box of cereal, some produce, and a few bottles of your favorite supplements.

The "Kleen Kanteen" is a stainless steel water bottle. It's durable, sleek, and will reduce the growing plastic bottle waste that is plaguing our nation.

Are you tired of having pest control spray toxic chemicals in your house? How about "Pest OFFense". This product uses EMF digital technology to work with the wiring in your home to keep out the mice and roaches. Say goodbye to toxic insecticides and hazardous chemicals. It plugs into your outlet and won't drive your pets insane.

Please help to keep the environment clean. ..................Matt

Healthy Radio?

The Health Ranger Radio Show is launching March 24. It will bring the message of health freedom, disease prevention, superfoods nutrition and skeptical consumerism to potentially millions of listeners across the United States and Canada. The show is to broadcast each weeknight (Monday - Friday) from 5pm - 6pm CST (Central Standard Time) and can be heard on local AM stations or downloaded from the internet at www.GCNlive.com

The Health Ranger Radio show carries on the tradition of Natural News by empowering listeners with honest, independent information about how they can avoid the dangers of processed foods, dangerous pharmaceuticals and toxic consumer products while enhancing their health with superfoods nutrition, natural remedies, regular exercise and other naturopathic modalities. The show will also feature coverage of the FDA, Big Pharma, the USDA and topics like mad cow disease, MRSA superbugs, natural treatments for cancer, how to reverse diabetes and many others. (prnewsnow.com)

Do what you can to make sure this show is on the radio. We don't need anymore talk radio disappointments like Rush Limbaugh or Bob and Tom....and there isn't any good music on terrestrial radio either. At least people can now get educated on an AM station, but you need to help make it happen. If I hear REO Speedwagon one more time..... ......Matt

Misleading Labels

I read a story about an investigation into health and beauty products that contain the cancer causing chemical, 1,4-dioxane. Ronnie Cummins of organic consumers.org, had scientists purchase 100 products from Whole Foods to be tested. Of the 100 bottles of shampoo and lotion labeled organic or natural, 47 contained the dangerous toxin derived from petrochemicals. Some had levels 1000x higher than EPA standards. READ labels carefully. Words that are hard to pronounce are a bad sign.

So, what are the brands that passed...and which ones failed...

Dr. Bronners, Aubrey Organics, Burt's Bees, Desert Essence, and Avalon Organics are some of the companies that you can trust to be free of 1,4-dioxane.

Alba, Jason, Kiss My Face, and Nature's Gate are a few of the ones that failed. Since the report has been made public, Hain, who makes Jason and Alba products, has committed to reformulating their ingredients. We'll see...lab tests don't lie...corporations do. ............Matt

The Healing Powers of Honey

The medical benefits of honey have been known for a long time. We all know how good it tastes, but most people don't realize the importance of it's topical applications. The next time a bee stings you, spread on a little honey. "Honey is very acidic (antibacterial), and it produces its own hydrogen peroxide when combined with the fluid which drains from a wound. The extremely high sugar content of honey means it contains very little water. So, it draws the pus and fluid from the wound, thereby speeding the healing process. Furthermore, the honey contains powerful germ-fighting phytochemicals from the plants that produced the pollen harvested by the honeybees". (Liz Walker, clevergreens.com) These products look good. ...............Matt

Unsafe Plant Biotechnology

I designated today as GM Friday with a couple of stories on the fight against using genetically modified foods. The first story is very important to me because I eat this particular vege about 4x every week. It is my substitute for the potato, which I am allergic to. There is only one company that I know of which makes this root into "chips". I also buy the actual root at the local Asian store on main. Genetic modification is unacceptable and should not be tolerated. ....Matt

Panel backs GMO taro ban

Maui News By ILIMA LOOMIS March 14, 2008

WAILUKU — A resolution urging a hold on research involving genetic modification of taro was advanced Wednesday by the County Council Public Works and Facilities Committee. The resolution supports a bill pending before the state Legislature that would put a 10-year moratorium on developing, testing and growing genetically modified taro plants. Supporters in the audience, many of them taro farmers from East Maui, applauded as the committee voted to recommend the resolution with a 5-0 vote.“It is time for us to put the brakes on,” said Council Member Mike Victorino, co-chairman of the Public Works Committee. The moratorium proposal, Senate Bill 958, was approved by the Senate and is pending in the House Agriculture Committee, which has scheduled a hearing at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the State Capitol auditorium. At the council committee session, taro farmer Steve Hookano said a lack of flowing water and other environmental challenges were the causes of disease and parasites affecting crops.“It’s not the taro’s fault,” he said.Waving a petition supporting the ban signed by other East Maui residents, he feared experimentation could threaten the genetic diversity of the plant.“We don’t know the risks and the benefits,” he said.“We’re living in Hawaii — not a science lab,” said Kevin Namahoe-Carvalho.

He noted that taro had a cultural and religious significance to Hawaiians in addition to being a staple food.“We just don’t see why anyone thinks they can make it better,” he said.Opponents of the ban say there is no evidence genetically altered foods pose a risk to people. They also say genetic modification could help taro survive pests and diseases that have been threatening crops.Council Member Danny Mateo, who holds the council’s Molokai seat, acknowledged his home island was “divided” over the issue. But ultimately he agreed there should be a “time out” on experiments with taro.“It’s about the spirituality, it’s about the religion, it’s about the culture that’s being attacked,” he said.SB 958 would prohibit research involving recombinant DNA technology and specifies that the moratorium would not prevent traditional methods of breeding and hybridization of taro. The Maui County Council resolution in support of SB 958 is expected to go to the full council for a vote April 4.

Taking On Genetically Modified Foods

Grain Farmer Claims Moral Victory in Seed Battle Against Monsanto By Matt Hartley The Globe and Mail (Canada), March 20, 2008
From CommonDreams.org

Percy Schmeiser's decade-long legal odyssey has finally come to an end - and he's got a cheque for $660 to prove it.The 77-year-old Saskatchewan farmer and his wife, Louise, became international folk heroes for their legal struggle with agribusiness giant Monsanto Canada Inc., after the company sued them for violating its patent on genetically engineered canola seeds in 1997.Although the Schmeisers eventually wound up losing their court battle with the St. Louis-based company in a landmark Supreme Court of Canada decision in 2004, the couple have now earned a moral victory that they hope will encourage others to carry on their cause.

Yesterday, Monsanto agreed to pay the Schmeisers $660 to settle a small-claims court case they brought against the company for costs associated with removing the patented Roundup Ready canola from their field in 2005."After 10 years, finally justice has been served," Mr. Schmeiser said in an interview last night. "I really feel that if a farmer is now contaminated, he has a right to go after Monsanto for liability and to clean up the contamination. By settling out of court, Monsanto now realizes the seriousness of the liability issue."Monsanto agreed to pay the costs associated with removing the canola back in 2005. However, the Schmeisers refused the offer because the company insisted the couple sign a release stating they would never talk about the terms of the agreement."That release form they sent us was a gag order," Mr. Schmeiser said. "We could never talk to anyone for the rest of our lives about what the terms of the settlement were. There was no way we were going to give up our freedom of speech to a corporation."

Several other Western Canadian farmers have agreed to sign Monsanto's standard release form, including 16 in 2007, according to a statement issued by the firm yesterday. The Schmeisers' deal does not stop them from talking about the terms of the settlement."Although we are pleased Mr. Schmeiser finally approached us and agreed to settlement terms, it is frustrating that he essentially accepted the same offer we put before him in 2005," Monsanto public affairs director Trish Jordan said. "This entire matter could have been resolved more than 2½ years ago and Mr. Schmeiser would have saved himself some legal costs."

The Schmeisers' saga began more than 10 years ago, when Monsanto sued them after plants grown from genetically modified canola seeds were found on the couple's farm near Bruno, Sask., about 90 kilometres east of Saskatoon. The company said the Schmeisers violated its patent on the seeds, which had been genetically modified to resist Monsanto-brand herbicide, and that the couple knowingly planted them without paying the technology fees. Monsanto's claim sought damages totalling $400,000.But the Schmeisers denied using the Monsanto seeds, arguing that the seeds blew onto their property from a nearby road or neighbouring farms. In 2004, the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 in favour of Monsanto, stating that plant genes and modified cells can be patented. Although the Schmeisers lost the case, the court ruled they did not have to pay damages. The following year, more of the genetically modified canola appeared on the Schmeisers' farm. They pulled it out themselves and sent Monsanto a bill for $660."This is a great victory for farmers all over the world," he said. "Now they have at least an opportunity to have some recourse on a corporation when they are contaminated."

PseudoBlogger or Patsy?

Please, anonymous, you're embarrassing yourself. If you're too cowardly to say who you are, at least come up with a cheesy name like "pharmlobbyist4you" or "brainwashedpatsy". The only lousy advice comes from your post which is over seven months late. You're clearly a doctor (try to be), or a pharm rep (wanna be) to give such hilarious advice. Those worthless drugs are for people just like you. Your liver should give out any day now. Better yet, I'll sell you some scurvy pills. They won't help you're rheumatoid, but they'll keep you alive long enough to put your doctor's kid through college.

Oh, and speaking of dribble.... it's probably your prostate. Bend over, I'll check it out for you, and I'm using the whole fist. ..............................Matt

Toxins, Be Gone

Here is a quick update about the foot detox pads. I still can't get a good seal on my feet. Half of the pad is untouched no matter how I place it. Tonight, I will use duct tape and see what happens. The one I had on my shoulder remained clean just like the pad placed on my stomach a couple of days ago. So far it's interesting and irritating. ..........Matt

Go Green

I consider myself to have a "green collar" job. Although I don't have any green clothes in my wardrobe, I'll still be celebrating St. Patrick's Day in my own way. Before giving your liver a beating with all of that green beer, take some milk thistle. .......................Matt

The Lazy Way To Detox

I used the detox pad on the bottom of my left foot last night. The results were the same. I still couldn't get a good seal on the center portion of the pad. I'll try to move it up higher to see if that works. The dark areas of discoloration equalled the pad placed on the right foot the night before. There are other parts of my body like my shoulder that might get a reaction. I still have a few pads left, and I'll post pictures later on.

Anonymous, I checked out the pads you left the link for. The Kawase pads are 35% dextrin, and you can't use them if you're allergic to shellfish. Maybe they work better, maybe they don't. This is my first experience with this type of product. I'd like to hear your results. ..........Matt

Health Sole Pads

I couldn't help myself. I bought a box of the "Sole" foot detox pads. We've been selling quite a few with some positive feedback. I'm skeptical that it's actually going to work, but it doesn't hurt to try a new route of detoxification.

The box comes with 10 pads that will "energize, invigorate and refresh while you sleep". Some how, these pads full of herbs and tourmaline will suck the toxins right out of the bottom of your feet leaving a dark brown smear you can be proud of. The main ingredient, tourmaline, is claimed to be a natural source of far infrared rays and negative ions. That's what makes the poison seep out of your foot into the pad. A diagram that a reflexologist would appreciate, shows which part of the foot that corresponds to a specific organ. For instance, the bottom center of your foot located in the arch would be the kidney. A little bit up from that area and to the outside of the foot would be the heart, and so on.

Last night, I tried them out. I placed one on the lower right hand side of my stomach, and the other on the bottom of my right foot. You have know idea how excited I was to get up this morning. I ripped the one off my belly, and it was still clear. The layer of visceral fat must have prevented the toxins from escaping. The one stuck to the center of my arch was considerably different. It was partially stained with toxin juice....wet to the touch and fairly nasty. About half of it was clear because the pad wasn't flush up against the skin.

Just so you know, I wanted to put a pad on another area of my body to see if the ingredients caused some kind of reaction with the skin. The one on my stomach was clean, the one on my foot wasn't. It made this product slightly more legitimate. I disposed of the soiled pad into my hazardous waste bin. It's not something you want your baby playing with.

I will say that I felt more energized this morning. That really doesn't mean much, but maybe these things actually are capable of detoxifying. I have many pads to go, and nothing to lose...except for the stuff that drains from my sole. ........................Matt

Hemp Making A Comeback

Did you know that hemp produces more pulp per acre than timber on a sustainable basis? I didn't, but it's also a good source of essential fatty acids and protein.

The typical fatty acid profile for hemp oil is 19% omega 3, 57% omega 6, and12% omega 9. The anti-inflammatory, gamma linolenic acid (GLA), makes up about 2% of the essential fatty acids.

A tablespoon of hemp oil contains 2.5 grams of omega 3. The total protein content of hemp seed is about 65% "edestin" protein. You can use the hemp protein as a replacement for whey, soy, or rice protein.

Experts say that hemp seed is the richest fatty acid plant source known (around 75%), and therefore, helps prevent deficiencies resulting in health problems. You get the best of both worlds with hemp seed oil. Most of the hemp is farmed in Canada. It's still illegal to grow it here in the States. ....................Matt

Chemtrails

A woman visiting from California came into the store today for a few things. It really couldn't have been more perfect because I just wrote about the aerial pesticide spraying yesterday. I asked her about the situation and she was very emotional. The county that she lived in had already been sprayed, and she was doing everything she could do to prevent it from happening again.

She mentioned "chemtrails" which is exactly what people should be looking for. You really need to read about that. Aerial spraying is taking place all over the world. There were many organic farms in the area around her home, and clearly, they can't be considered organic now.

The California residents in her neighborhood had a few theories about what the government was really trying to accomplish. The "disease factor"...sick people make money for the pharmaceutical companies. And, of course,... population control. I think it's a little of both. Interestingly enough, besides the 1,000's of people sickened by this harmless pesticide, she told me some disturbing facts.

The birth rates in sprayed counties have declined sharply.
Sperm counts are way down for men living in these areas.
The majority of babies born in that region are female.

I don't know...there's always a conspiracy theory, but this one is believable. Detox youself as much as possible. .......Matt

Checkmate

There are stories that I read that should make headlines across the U.S. This is one that's hard for me to believe. It really proves that the government doesn't want us to be healthy.

Aerial pesticide spraying over many heavily populated California cities will begin this summer. The government hopes to disrupt the mating habits of a pesky moth that threatens crops. Innocent people will be exposed to these untested, toxic chemicals over the next five years. Does that make sense to you? I think there's something more sinister going on. Nobody knows the health implications. It sounds like they want to breed disease or control the population. Any crops in the spray zone can't be considered organic for many years to come.

Maybe we should look up in the sky more often. Read about chemtrails when you get the chance. ............................Matt

Omega 3 Options

Jennifer, you're right, walnuts contain omega 3, but as you know, ...my girls are too young. I think I'll hold off on the fish oil for now and use flax. Since we're on the subject, hemp oil and chia seeds are good sources of omega 3's.

Let's see, the detoxification foot pads are back in...they've been very popular, and people say they work. I still have not tried them, but I will eventually.

Don't start that organic garden yet. It's nice today, finally, but we all know that Illinois has the most unpredictable and annoying weather this side of the Mississippi. I'm not sure if our seeds are in. I forgot to look. ..........Matt

Did They Really Just Say That?

The head of a group representing major California water suppliers said the public "doesn't know how to interpret the information" and might be unduly alarmed. (A vast array of pharmaceuticals - including antibiotics, anti-convulsants, mood stabilizers and sex hormones - have been found in the drinking water supplies of at least 41 million Americans. AP)

The adverse reactions associated with treatment with SLENTROL include vomiting, loose stools/diarrhea, lethargy, and anorexia. The safety of SLENTROL use in dogs has not been evaluated beyond 1 year. (taken from the slentrol website, the new diet drug for obese dogs and for owners who refuse to give there dogs exercise)

“We must attack postpartum depression on all fronts with education, screening, support, and research so that new moms can feel supported and safe rather than scared and alone.”(from Senator Robert Menendez on new legislation called the "Mother's Act" which recommends placing pregnant women on antidepressants to cure their postpartum depression.) For one mother who was drugged with antidepressants -- Amy Philo -- the drugs caused her to experience thoughts of violence against her own newborn babies. After taking antidepressants prescribed by her doctor, she had visions of killing them (and herself). Upon returning to her doctor, Amy was told to increase the dosage!

Fountain diet Coke is sweetened with a blend of aspartame and saccharin to assure maximum product quality. The safety of all ingredients used in the products of The Coca-Cola Company including aspartame has been established. (from Diet Coke.com) "We see this center as an important step in strengthening our innovation pipeline for beverages that contribute to well-being," said Dr. Rhona Applebaum, vice president, chief scientific and regulatory officer of The Coca-Cola Company. (The Coca-Cola Company has officially opened The Coca-Cola Research Center for Chinese Medicine at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences in Beijing.)

"The government has made absolutely no statement about indicating that vaccines are the cause of autism, as this would be a complete mischaracterization of any of the science that we have at our disposal today," Dr. Julie L. Gerberding, director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (The federal government continues to deny a link between vaccines and autism, but the U.S. Court of Federal Claims has ruled in favor of a child alleged to have regressed into autism as a result of vaccinations.)

Suffering from Colitis

My wife I were in St. Louis the last two days visiting some friends we had not seen for four years. There youngest son who is six, has been diagnosed with colitis. At first, doctors thought he had MRSA, and they put the boy on antibiotics for almost two years. Finally, I guess, they realized he had colitis.

The mother knew enough to give him probiotics, but that's not going to solve his problem. She also modified his diet by reducing his sugar intake. I told her to consider giving him cereal grasses like wheat grass and barley grass, and to try to place him on a gluten free diet. Aloe vera juice and colostrum could also help.

She recently read a book by Jordan Rubin, but did not know that he had a line of supplements called "Garden of Life". Jordan Rubin suffered from colitis, but now he is healthy and quite rich. I hope she continues to improve his diet and introduces some supplements to improve his condition. .........................Matt

Finally Compensated

You might have already read the story that came out today about a family of an autistic who will be compensated for their child's condition. All parents with autistic children should drain the VAERS fund because you are unable to sue the vaccine makers for damages. Don't forget that Congress granted the pharmaceutical companies liability exemption which gives them unlimited protection from lawsuits.

Mike Stobbe is the AP medical writer of this article as usual. I talked about his love for the medical industry a few weeks back. He always "spins" the story in favor of the CDC, the FDA, and the pharmacartel,... downplaying any connection between vaccines and autism. Here's the story. ......................Matt

Raise a Smarter Child

When do you start your child on fish oil to get the needed EPA/DHA that's so important for brain development and eye health? Infants may not have enough lipase to digest fish oil. I don't know. It depends who you ask. You normally don't want to start children on any kind of fish until at least 12 months because there is a chance of an allergic reaction. Some experts think you should wait until they are 3 years old. I do know that the minimal amounts babies get in formula isn't enough as far as I'm concerned. Obviously, breast feeding is the best, but you can't breast feed forever.

I've been thinking about it lately because my girls are 14 months old. Anyway, a new product arrived yesterday called "Toddler DHA" by Spectrum. It is a fish free DHA supplement containing cold pressed, unrefined organic flax seed oil and algal oil for children 1-3 years of age.

You can mix it in with just about anything because of it's neutral taste. For one ml, your toddler is supplied with 125 mg of DHA and 300 mg of ALA (alpha linolenic acid). I think it sounds good. If anybody has an opinion on this or has some experience with adding fish oil to your baby's diet, let me know. I want little Einstein's just like everybody else. .....................Matt

Fat and Unhealthy, The Conclusion

After being overweight and unhealthy for 19 years, I decided to finally change my life. I realized that it was my decision to be fat. Nobody made me eat all that junk and forced me to sit on the couch. It was my choice. Fat or thin, it's always your choice. Don't blame it on your genes or thyroid. Making excuses isn't a thermogenic.

What's the secret? I'll bet you've heard it before....eat healthy and exercise. Shocking , isn't it. I changed my lifestyle after looking at photographs taken of me during my sophomore year at college. I really didn't think I looked that bad, but pictures don't lie. (and the stretchmarks on my belly slapped some sense into me)

I cut out all sugar, took the stairs instead of the elevator, and parked at the end of the parking lot. Stupid stuff like that...but it worked. About two years later and 55 lbs lighter, I had reached my perfect weight. To this day, I still weigh myself every day, even though I've weighed the same for almost 14 years.

The fact is, it's easier to lose weight now more than ever before. I actually lost the weight without using any supplements. I would have used them back in '92 if I knew anything about them, but I guess I did it the old fashioned way.

One thing I know for sure. You can't ever go back to your old lifestyle of eating whatever and whenever again. That's why you were fat in the first place. It's a mistake many people make. Don't feel sorry for fat people. Laziness and overeating is a choice. They are fully aware of the future health consequences. You know, I could go on and on and on about this, but I have a treadmill next to my computer, and sitting down typing this post isn't going to burn any calories. You see, that's a perfect example. I will run instead of sit.

I hope my advice helped. If you still want to take diet supplements to speed up your weight loss, then here are the ones that will give you an advantage. CLA, L-carnitine, natural caffeine like guarana, green tea, and kola nut, ECA stack (ephedra, caffeine, aspirin), synephrine, and fucoxanthin. Yes, there are others, but these are some of the most effective on the market. You will burn more fat, speed up your metabolism, and decrease your monstrous appetite.

If my story doesn't convince you, think about this. Stretch marks are permanent. Although slightly faded, those purple and red scars will always be there to remind me of my fatter days.

Fat and Unhealthy Continued

I forgot to tell you what to drink. It's almost as important as what you eat. Milk for breakfast, soda for lunch, milk for dinner, soda before bed. Insert an afternoon soda in there too. Coca-Cola is your source of water.

After 4-5 daily sodas and really no fruits or vegetables to speak of, your body will become very acidic. Persistent heartburn is a problem, but a glass of milk will put that fire out. Headaches are common at this stage, but you deal with it.

I was fortunate to have reoccurring hiccups which is cured by white gold. A spoonful of sugar really does make the medicine go down. It worked every time for my hiccups. I almost looked forward to it. What's worse...hiccups or diabetes. Who cares, as long as I can have my sugar fix.

At one point, my parents offered to buy me a ferret if I lost 10 lbs.(I was really into ferrets in 7th grade) I struggled to lose 2 lbs, and my dream of training a ferret to fetch candy bars melted away like a Hershey's Kiss on a hot sidewalk.

Follow this plan for at least 19years or until stretch marks are visible. You will develop food allergies, and enough candida yeast to bake 100 loaves of bread. Many more health conditions are possible,... it's up to you to make it happen. Success is only a refrigerator away.

I could go on for days, but even I'm losing interest. However, my story does have a happy ending. I will share that with you tomorrow. ......................Matt

How to Become Sick and Overweight

Pay attention parents. This post is a step by step process on how to raise a fat kid who has health problems later on in life. It is a true story about my poor eating habits, but I'll place some blame on my parents who have know understanding of what nutrition really is. Follow this program at your own risk. You can't blame the obesity epidemic on me, but it should get worse with advice like this.

At two weeks of age, and this is back in 1972, my parent's pediatrician, who was the equivalent to Doc Baker from "Little House on the Prairie", recommended that I be put on cereal to help me sleep through the night. Nutritional advice from a doctor? Yikes, but they obeyed, and I ballooned into a miniature sumo wrestler. My baby pictures are....dramatic. That's the best way I can describe them. It was the beginning of a long sweet journey to compromised health.

I remember eating lots of sugar. That's the key. Lots of processed, white sugar is vital for packing on the pounds. But that's only half the battle. "No parental control" is necessary to make this program work. Let your kid eat whatever and whenever, he or she wants. If they clean up their plate, your child should be rewarded with unlimited desserts. I'll break down each meal so you can take full advantage of my childhood experience.

The most important meal of the day is breakfast. It's been a long night of sleeping and no eating. Start your day off right with two bowls of Frosted Flakes covered with a generous pile of sugar. It should be heaped high enough to extend past the milk line like a majestic island. When the cereal is gone, you get your first reward of the day. A grainy layer of sugar at the bottom of the bowl.

Lunch should consist of processed lunch meat, cut and pressed, on white bread with yellow cheese. It's too early in the day for fruit, but it is acceptable to have a vegetable side dish. Fully hydrogenated potato chips and nothing else. Save room for dessert. Mars bars and Snickers work well at this stage.

There's no way you're going to make it to dinner, because all those carbs are making you hungry. Plan ahead, the afternoon snack has to be able to give you enough energy to make it to the next meal. Any product from Hostess is sufficient. Switch off between Cupcakes and Ding Dongs. Although similar, one has a thicker layer of chocolate coating. Choose wisely. Lil Debbie, oatmeal cream pies can be used as a substitute on holidays and family outings only.

The family dinner must be the biggest meal of the day. Cheeseburgers or a slab of ham need to be the main course. Once again, some form of potatoes is the vegetable of choice, but corn is another option. Don't eat any green veges, eat only the bland colored ones. Think starch. Dinner is the only time of the day that fruit is allowed. It's a short list. Apples, bananas, or grapes. No berries, ever. Stay away from canned mandarin oranges and peaches in heavy syrup. Smash them down and hide them underneath a scraped potato skin. It gives the illusion that you cleaned up your plate, when in fact, you're actually saving room for dessert. That's where the chocolate cake or cookies come in. It's been a long day. You deserve it.

It's been two hours since dinner, and you can't fall asleep on an empty stomach. Snack time is 8 pm sharp. A peanut butter and jelly sandwich on toasted white bread is the only answer. Hydrogenated cottonseed oil, corn syrup, and bleached flour. Sweet dreams. Tomorrow you get to do it all over again. .................
