Done

Wednesday night, I had a small meal, so my detox/fast is officially over. It wasn't the hunger that broke my spirit. It was the constant mental battle that I eventually lost. Your body tells you to eat, but you know that you don't need any food. I had plenty of energy, I felt good, and I lost some extra fat. It's also nice not worrying about what you're going to eat 3x a day. No dishes to clean up either. And, I eat most of my meals standing over the sink, anyway, so I'm not missing much.

As far as I'm concerned, my program was about as good as it gets. I used supplements I already had at home, and they all performed well. The only thing the detox lacked was some omega 3's. That's only because I refuse to drink fish oil and you don't want to take it on an empty stomach. Flax oil was another option, but I only take that with yogurt, and no dairy allowed during the cleanse.

Thursday morning, I had lost one more pound which made a total of nine in 3 days....... that's plenty. Once you have finished the 3 days, or 2.5 days of "no chewing", ease into your regular routine by introducing foods one at a time to identify digestive disturbances or allergies. Start with raw fruits and vegetables, first.

If you decide to try this, don't be concerned with calorie intake, because you'll be nourishing your system with plenty of antioxidants and superfoods you drink throughout the day. Start over and change your lifestyle by eating less, eating the right foods, and cleansing your body. And on occasion, wipe the slate clean by starving yourself for 2-3 days, and hit the reset button. ...Matt
