Reduce Cell Phone Exposure

Brain cancer is on the rise, with a possible epidemic in the years to come. Quantum Nutrition, a leading supplement manufacturer, has the solution that heavy cell phone users have been looking for.

"Research now links long term exposure to harmful electromagnetic radiation with chronic disease and cancer. New static-field diodes can convert harmful radiation to friendly fields. No more worry when you or your family are exposed to radiation from a TV, phone, cell phone, computer and other EMF emitters. Quantum Nutrition Labs and Premier Research Labs believes EMF (electromagnetic field) Protector products are critical, lifesaving devices, badly needed in our environment of electromagnetic pollution that zaps our health and life energies. These special protector devices do not block the EMFs, but rather convert harmful EMFs into biologically harmless fields. The Phone EMF Protector (one diode) helps convert the harmful EMFs from telephones to biologically harmless energy. When you put a phone to your ear, the phone acts as an unhealthy "treatment," delivering potentially harmful EMFs to your brain, ear, jaws, eyes, teeth, scalp, etc. The Phone EMF Protector is a one-time, lifetime purchase. Its internal diode configurations will last indefinitely.*

You attach the cell phone protector to the back of the phone. It disrupts the electromagnetic field that can eventually cause permanent damage to everything above your neck. We do carry Quantum Nutrition Labs at the store, but we don't have this product. I'm sure we can do a special order for it. Ask a sales associate when you come in. .......................Matt

Done

Wednesday night, I had a small meal, so my detox/fast is officially over. It wasn't the hunger that broke my spirit. It was the constant mental battle that I eventually lost. Your body tells you to eat, but you know that you don't need any food. I had plenty of energy, I felt good, and I lost some extra fat. It's also nice not worrying about what you're going to eat 3x a day. No dishes to clean up either. And, I eat most of my meals standing over the sink, anyway, so I'm not missing much.

As far as I'm concerned, my program was about as good as it gets. I used supplements I already had at home, and they all performed well. The only thing the detox lacked was some omega 3's. That's only because I refuse to drink fish oil and you don't want to take it on an empty stomach. Flax oil was another option, but I only take that with yogurt, and no dairy allowed during the cleanse.

Thursday morning, I had lost one more pound which made a total of nine in 3 days....... that's plenty. Once you have finished the 3 days, or 2.5 days of "no chewing", ease into your regular routine by introducing foods one at a time to identify digestive disturbances or allergies. Start with raw fruits and vegetables, first.

If you decide to try this, don't be concerned with calorie intake, because you'll be nourishing your system with plenty of antioxidants and superfoods you drink throughout the day. Start over and change your lifestyle by eating less, eating the right foods, and cleansing your body. And on occasion, wipe the slate clean by starving yourself for 2-3 days, and hit the reset button. ...Matt

Good News, Bad News

the good news: nobody caught my wife's cold. We (the girls and I) have escaped without a sniffle so far thanks to elderberry and propolis. The stuff works.

the bad news: The MRI showed a tear in my wife's tendon. It's not torn in half, but more like a "run" in an old pair of pantyhose. Her surgery is next week, and a long recovery follows. She'll be on injured reserve for two months. Not good. .........Matt

Maybe Just A Snack

Lost another 3 lbs this morning, which makes it 7.5 in two days. I'm still drinking the same amount of supplements, and still.....not very hungry. I should hit 10 lbs by tomorrow morning, unless I break down and have a small dinner. Must stay focused. ...............Matt

Body Reset

After coffee and egg whites Monday morning, I decided to "reset" my body with a fast/superfood detox that I make up as I go along. It's hard to say how long it will last, but I'll give it me best shot, or at least make a mediocre attempt. ..................Matt

I took the supplements listed below about two hours apart.

Monday:
2,000 mg glutamine/ 1,000 mg arginine/ 900 mg tribulus (only because I was exercising)
7.5 grams powdered glyconutrients
spirulina
powdered multi with noni juice
barley grass
7.5 grams powdered glyconutrients
(two raw unchlorinated baby carrots and a piece of broccoli) what can I say, I was hungry.
600 mg magnesium before bed

Results: hunger hit me about 9pm, slight headache, hard time falling asleep, lost 4.5 lbs

Tuesday:
organic black coffee
protein drink
7.5 grams glyconutrients
powdered green drink
powdered red drink
spirulina
barley grass
kombucha ( it's like a carbonated, fruit flavored cider with floating chunks of probiotics)
7.5 grams glyconutrients

Results: not very hungry at all, but I'm starting to hallucinate, and I'm more irritable than normal. I won't weigh myself until tomorrow morning.

Already Hungry

I'm starting a modified fast this week that could last from 6 hours to five days. It was an easy decision..... there's no food in the house, but I have a cupboard full of supplements. To me, a normal fast is fairly boring. I always modify it with supplements or superfoods, because it's really about your health, and I think my body needs more than water and carrot juice. As long as it's easy to digest (liquid or powdered), ..........anything goes.

The goal is to see if I can live off supplements. I'll post what I'm taking, and give updates on how I feel. One other thing.... I refuse to lose more than ten pounds, so my weight loss will dictate how long the fast lasts. All right, that's it. We'll see what happens. ................Matt

A New Bug Spreading

It seems like everybody is sick. Over the last week, so many customers have walked in looking for something to fight their cold. Even a handful of Nat Yours employees are missing work due to an early spring virus. My wife brought something home from work Wednesday night. On Thursday and Friday, she had the stuffed up/runny nose, with sneezing and a sinus headache. I gave her the usual supplements, which made Saturday and Sunday recovery days. Today, she feels fine, and the cold never did get to her throat or lungs. The girls and I have been taking our antiviral stuff, and so far, so good. Be careful for the next two weeks, and don't forget to wash those hands.

There's Always Another Option

This is a link to a cancer treatment facility in Mexico that I've heard about. The customer who had pancreatic cancer will go there every year to make sure things are still going fine. Her success is encouraging to anybody seeking alternative doctors and views on cancer.

Tips For The Lush

It's a little after 1:30pm right now, and half of the country is probably drunk. As great as that is, tomorrow isn't going to be that great. Do yourself a favor, and drink plenty of water, and avoid the corned beef and cabbage.

You'll most likely be hungover Wednesday morning, but you don't have to be. There are some natural tricks to minimize nausea and a pounding head. First, let's assume you're going to get wasted today. You'll spend most of your time hugging people you don't know, making future plans that will never materialize, and slurring incoherently about something that's only interesting to you.

Here's the plan... Stay away from cheap, watered down beer with adjuncts and foam enhancers. This includes all Budweiser, Coors, and Miller products. You can't get drunk on these anyway. Be a man, and spend the extra $2 on a microbrew or import, because you want to look cool when you're stumbling through the bars, burning strangers with your cigarette butt.

There are some products on the market that use B-vitamins or charcoal to block the effects of alcohol. You can do better than that. Instead, I'd try artichoke extract, milk thistle, noni juice, and chlorella. They support the liver and detoxify. You'll have a much better chance with these. Good luck, bottoms up, and don't kiss the Blarney Stone unless you're trying to impress the other bar flies. ...................Matt

The Answer To Ankle Injuries

My wife talked to the doctor about her MRI results on her ankle, and there are some problems with the tendons and maybe bursitis. She was told to take a bunch of Ibuprofen to get the swelling down before her appointment this Thursday. Of course, she didn't take them. Lots of natural things work better than Ibuprofen for inflammation, but I don't know if alternative supplements can repair the damage by the end of the week.

To make things worse, I blew my ankle yesterday playing with my dog. I could barely walk by the time I went to bed last night, and I was seriously thinking of buying crutches today. It was another perfect opportunity to try DMSO. I took three serrapeptidase and placed DMSO on the area for 30 minutes, followed by some powdered glyconutrients. This morning, the swelling was reduced by around 75%, and I could walk fine. It was like the injury never happened. I still can't believe it. ....................Matt

H.R. 875

On February 4th of this year, the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009 (H.R. 875) was introduced by Rep. Rosa DeLauro. This bill will transfer all state control over food regulation to the newly formed Food Safety Administration within the Dept of Health and Human Services. It is intended to eliminate all family owned farms and organic farming through federal regulations that only favor corporate factory farms.

H.R. 875 is how the government plans to control the food supply. You will be forced to eat genetically modified food contaminated with herbicides and pesticides. Your only other option is to grow your own food, but the "garden police" will be watching, and eventually, you won't be able to grow anything unless you use their special seeds. Read the bill for yourself, and you will see what their true intentions are.

Ask yourself.... why would Rep Rosa DeLauro be so concerned with "food safety"? Her husband, Stanley Greenburg, works for Monsanto. Now you know. .........................Matt

Probiotics 101

I learned something the other day thanks to an article in "Delicious Living" magazine. It explains the effectiveness of certain probiotic strains for specific problems that people experience. One strain of bacteria is not a "cure all" for everything that ails you, so write these down and choose the best ones for your condition. ............Matt

acidophilus CL 1285: used for overall digestion

l. acidophilus DDS-1: best for stomach cramps and gas triggered by lactose intolerance

l. rhamnosus GG: immune system health

l. rhamnosus GR-1 and l. fermentum RC-14: vaginal yeast infections

l. plantarum 299v: pain and constipation associated with IBS

saccharomyces boulardii: antibiotic-provoked diarrhea

This list is just a few of the strains on the market, but it will give you a better chance when you make a decision in the future.

Nutrition to the Fifth Power

We have a new line of supplements starting today, and they look good. The company is a family owned business called BlueBonnet. It is a "throwback" supplement manufacturer that only sells to independent health food stores. Their specialized product line and strong manufacturing standards have made them a leader in the health industry, and we are pleased to offer their products to our customers. They have recently been awarded kosher certification and only use vegetarian capsules, instead of the more commonly used gelatin pills. Check them out when you come in. Remember, you get what you pay for. .....................Matt

Painful Updates

When is it going to stop raining?
The lady I work with who is suffering from kidney stones is improving. Her pain, which started out at about a 7-8 on the pain scale is now around a 4. Unfortunately, the stone she is dealing with is so big, she can actually feel it through her skin. That's big. About four years ago, she had surgery to remove a different one that was as large as a golf ball. I don't know if magnesium is going to be able to dissolve a stone of this size, but we shall see. Surgery is the only other option, and she wants to avoid it if possible.

The DMSO and serripeptidase didn't do much for my wife's mystery ankle swelling. An x-ray last week showed no broken bones, and the MRI results won't be back in until Friday. It's a weird situation.

I don't know if it's the weather, or an afternoon of cleaning my parent's flooded basement, but my knee shredded from a motorcycle accident two years ago bothered me all day. I popped some fish oil at lunch and it felt fine for about 90 minutes. My knee should be better tomorrow, but if you see me sitting down at work, you'll know why. .................................Matt

5-8 Servings Of Pesticides Every Day

Are you thinking about going organic, but you're not sure if spending a little extra money is worth it? It's even worse than I thought. This is a list of the most contaminated fruits and vegetables at a grocery store near you.

1.) peaches: 86% of samples tested carried residues of multiple pesticides.

2.) apples: tested positive for 50 different chemicals.

3.) sweet bell peppers: 81% of all samples carried pesticide residues.

4.) celery: 94% had pesticide residues

5.) nectarines: had the single highest percentage of samples testing positive at 97.3%

6.) strawberries: over 92% of all samples carried traces of 38 different pesticides

7.) cherries: 76% of all samples were contaminated with two or more chemicals

8.) lettuce: contamination by 57 pesticides

9.) grapes (imported): 84% of all samples carried chemical traces

10.) pears: carried traces of 33 different pesticides

11.) spinach: some samples were contaminated with six separate chemicals

12.) potatoes: 81% carried detectable levels of contamination

Besides the taste, that's why you buy organic. ...............Matt

Supplement Sales

We have some big sales this month on supplements. Most brands have been discounted 15%-60% to save you money and make your shopping experience more pleasurable.

Certain products from Solaray, Solgar, New Chapter, Natren, and American Health have been reduced, so now is a good time to be healthy for less.

The popularity of acai is still growing, so we have adjusted out inventory to include extra acai, pills, liquids, and powders. However, I need to make something clear about this superfruit. A majority of customers think they can take acai, and start dropping pounds like it's some kind of miracle diet pill. It doesn't work like that. Yes, acai will give you more energy, and therefore, you are likely to burn more calories. But, the only way to really lose weight is eat less and exercise more. I wouldn't even consider acai to be a "plateau" diet supplement. It's an awesome antioxidant and you'll be much healthier for taking it, but you'll never see acai in diet formulas because it's too expensive, and too many other supplements burn fat more effectively.

The Best Cancer Clinics In The World Are Located In Mexico

The lady who went to a Mexican cancer clinic for the Hoxsey formula a few weeks ago, just returned again yesterday, form a different cancer clinic across the border that specializes in immunotherapy. I didn't get all the details because we were really busy, but they take some of your blood, some cancer cells, say some magic words, and you eventually become somewhat immune to cancer, as your body searches for, and destroys cancerous cells with a weakened protein structure. Hope that makes sense to you, except for the part about the magic words.

The cost is $5,000 for six months of "antidote". The clinic also recommends a detoxification program with your choice of enemas. The coffee enemas are very popular, but I wouldn't want to waste good, organic coffee up there. Instead, they offer a colostrum enema, which you could probably talk me in to receiving. I'll have more details later on. ............................Matt

The Miracle Noodle

A new pasta has been created for the low-carb dieters out there. The "miracle noodle" is a new product on the market that contains zero calories and no carbs. The noodles are made from the konjac root and they basically have no taste. Konjac, is a natural source of glucomannan, which is a type of fiber that makes you feel full. That combination is sure to please anybody who is counting calories and trying to drop a few extra pounds. Who knows, we may have these in the future, if enough people ask for them. ................Matt

New Assault On Food Supply

A new risk to human and environmental health is creeping into your food. The next threat takes genetic engineering to a new level. It is called nanotechnology, and supermarkets are already stocking shelves with products created by this untested manufacturing process. Nanotechnology involves the manipulation of structures, devices and systems that exist at the nanoscale (less than 100 nanometeres in size) The technology tries to reconstruct nature at the atomic and molecular level to transform materials and living organisms into designer products without ever considering the impact on your health.

Foods could be wrapped in "smart" packaging that can detect spoilage, and it has the ability to adjust flavor, color and nutrient content to make products more appealing and longer lasting. The four main areas of research include:

*nano-modification

*food fortification

*"smart" food

*"smart packaging" and food tracking

Would you like to eat junk food that uses nano-particles to reduce the amount of fat and sugars absorbed by the body? Or, what about nano-sensors implanted in food to track everything you purchase. Allegedly, Mars Inc. already has a patent on an invisible, edible, nano-wrapper that prevents moisture and extends shelf life.

Research is showing that nano-articles can increase oxidation in humans, which can cause the formation of free radicals leading to cell death and mutation. It is toxic to humans and the environment, and it's being marketed as the future of food.

Manipulating food at the atomic level..... untested, unlabelled, unthinkable, and you'll be eating it every day. ..........Matt
